Steps​

  1. Initiate request
    In ServiceNow, start a request for a new service/shared account, and specify that it is for ABB domain use. (25)

  2. Naming and ownership
    Use the standard naming convention (e.g., se-pcp-lab-svc). Assign the appropriate owner using the internal ID. (26)

  3. Purpose and scope
    Clearly state that the account is required for ABB agent onboarding and LDAP services. Normally, separate accounts are used per service; for lab/testing a single account may be used to simplify management. (27)

  4. Submission and approval
    Submit the request. Be aware automation may be delayed; account creation can take up to 24 hours. Monitor the request for approval and completion. (28)

  5. Post-creation
    Once created, use the account for domain-joined integrations and service needs. Prefer ABB domain service accounts for easier management and stronger security. (29)
